Re: Pacific Coast Models 1/32 Fw 190A-1. Black 13. Belgium,
What is it the British say? "Keep Calm and Carry On"? Or, something like that. Though not as eloquent as you, I do understand. Your contributions in the written, sketched and photographic world are just as fulfilling as your builds. I hope that you can get the factories up an running as soon as possible. In the interim, feel free to drop by and finish up something from my Shelf of Someday!

That’s because they have to keep moving to breath...speedgraflex wrote:Yes, Clint—That’s exactly how this feels. I had a good run at work so there are no complaints, but I did get a touch complacent at work and that is not good. A good shark keeps swimming.
The time away from the bench will likely increase your motivation factor to get some work done once the situation permits... hang in there my friend.

Hey, what I care most about, is:
1. You’re able to find a new job
2. You’re apartment gets fixed in a timely manner
3. Your models and work and gear are safe
Bro, I hate it when stuff has to get repaired in my house. I work out of my house and I detest those disruptions. So I feel you. And I hope you’re doing well out there. Right now, I hope you find a great new opportunity for a job that you’re fulfilled in. Good luck my man!!

Well said and I second this! Happy Easter to all. A famous black preacher said it best..."It is Friday But, Sunday is coming!"KennyX wrote:Hey, what I care most about, is:

Re: Pacific Coast Models 1/32 Fw 190A-1. Black 13. Belgium,
Thanks, Lyle. Sunday is coming! GOT is also coming but I don’t feel a need to bow to the hype machine built by a 100 million of HBO dollars. Happy Easter to you, sir!
Thanks most sincerely, Ken. I definitely feel you about having disruptions. I borrowed a clothes rack from a costumer but otherwise my living space resembles a storage locker with plastic wrapped clothes, suitcases, an air mattress, model kits, books books books AND books in piles. The construction gang was here yesterday for twelve hours—7 am to 7 pm. From 10 am to 5 pm they ran the compressor outside my apartment. Silence feels both weird and precious. Thankfully I am off to work and church but I also worry about cameras so these go with me... and then I worry that if I leave the cameras somewhere what will happen.
Mainly yes these days are about finding the next job or what will be a bridge to the next job, and I am grateful for your support and the support of everyone else. TGIF, Happy Good Friday and Happy Easter!

Re: Pacific Coast Models 1/32 Fw 190A-1. Black 13. Belgium,
Happy Easter Bruce. All will work out for you in good time. Just have a little faith. Worry about the things that you can influence or control, and let go of your worries on the things that you cannot. Any hardships along the way help you learn to appreciate what is important and what is not. Even something as simple as a period of silence.
Oh a bit of advice from the cop in me, if you take your cameras out with you for the day, either keep them with you, or locked securely somewhere out of view like a car trunk. Not in the passenger compartment, even if concealed under something. And lock them in there before you leave home, out of public eyes... Are there any of your friends living nearby where you can leave the cameras.

Thanks for your advice, Carlos! You made some great points. I am going to see if my buddy Bryan can safeguard sone of my gear. I didn’t even think of this idea before you made your suggestion and I’m very grateful that you took the time to offer your advice!
