Re: Pacific Coast Models 1/32 Fw 190A-1. Black 13. Belgium,
Thanks, Clint! I am sealing my kits in their boxes as well. I want to be charitable and kind to others but the workers are testing my limits. They are supposed to start at 8 am, but since Thursday last week their start time has pushed back to 7:00 am. I don’t mind their zeal to get things done. I do mind loud music before 9 am. I just definitely feel that they are being unprofessional. I don’t work in an environment where loud background music is the norm. I assume most of us do not. I love music but not when it is used to assault others. Add the enormous dust cloud to the music and it is a nightmare. I’m nearly at the point of booking a night in cheap motel just to sleep without the stress of knowing some anonymous cadre of workers are not going to turn up with loud music at 7 am. I miss silence.
I peeked in to see what the cockpit looks like! Seems a long time ago I was working on this!

Re: Pacific Coast Models 1/32 Fw 190A-1. Black 13. Belgium,
It's got to be rough Bruce hope you get a peaceful night. I'm guilty of working with loud music going but I'm also in a factory and the only person in my area running the waste water treatment and hydrofluoric acid line.

Re: Pacific Coast Models 1/32 Fw 190A-1. Black 13. Belgium,
Thanks and nah that is a totally different situation—you’re not moving into someone’s home. You’re in a place with walls. This is literally three trucks and one car in back and four trucks in front of the eight unit building and two playlists of music—Country-Western in front, Norteño in back usually although this does flip around, with the guys sleeping in the car ports on their breaks. I’ve done enough ranching and contracting type shit to know that this is a hard life, but I draw the line with the early morning music and I hold my landlord and the contractor accountable for their crew’s behavior. With each day it gets worse it puts me closer to calling both to let them know.
It feels good to vent, though! Thanks.

Re: Pacific Coast Models 1/32 Fw 190A-1. Black 13. Belgium,
Loud music that I don't want to hear bothers me too. And I only play my music loud in the car with the windows rolled up. Nip it in the bud and let the foreman know. Tell em you work late shifts and would appreciate no music until nine. Most contractors are reasonable about that kind of stuff in my experience as long as you do it in a non-threatening way. If that don't work, do the motel thing for a night or two.

Re: Pacific Coast Models 1/32 Fw 190A-1. Black 13. Belgium,
I play music loud in my car with windows up as well. Unless some car pulls up along side me playing that rap crap, that’s when I’ll roll my windows down and play Rob Zombie to drown out his rap junk.
Somebody gotta let’em know what real music sounds like.
Other times, I’ll crank it on my way to work to wake myself up most mornings.

Re: Pacific Coast Models 1/32 Fw 190A-1. Black 13. Belgium,
Rob Zombie made a couple kick ass horror films. I remember watching “The Devil’s Rejects” while recovering from arm surgery and really enjoying what he was doing which was right on the line between horror and horror pastiche of drive-in horror. I was also smoking a lot of weed at this time too, and my buddy was making pure oil from OG Kush that I was using on my arm. That definitely takes me back to 2014. Thanks, BlackSheep!

Hell yes! And I crank it at home when I have weekdays off and the wife is at work! Loud rock music makes a bad day better for me.BlackSheep214 wrote:I play music loud in my car with windows up as well. Like John said, I'd talk to that foreman about that loud music. Nothing worse than getting woken up by loud crappy....country....oh hell it's the same thing.
