Thanks! I hope you can rein the construction guys in with the loud music.

speedgraflex wrote:Thanks, Clint! I am sealing my kits in their boxes as well. I want to be charitable and kind to others but the workers are testing my limits. They are supposed to start at 8 am, but since Thursday last week their start time has pushed back to 7:00 am. I don’t mind their zeal to get things done. I do mind loud music before 9 am. I just definitely feel that they are being unprofessional. I don’t work in an environment where loud background music is the norm. I assume most of us do not. I love music but not when it is used to assault others. Add the enormous dust cloud to the music and it is a nightmare. I’m nearly at the point of booking a night in cheap motel just to sleep without the stress of knowing some anonymous cadre of workers are not going to turn up with loud music at 7 am. I miss silence.
I peeked in to see what the cockpit looks like! Seems a long time ago I was working on this!
Glorious. Glorious, Bruce. That’s what the cockpit looks like. It looks Glorious.

Re: Pacific Coast Models 1/32 Fw 190A-1. Black 13. Belgium,
So I’m late for the party. The pit looks amazing! Well done!
These days have been hectic and non-stop for me. Son had his confirmation Wednesday, his party today, a nephew’s First Communion in a couple weeks, then a college and high school graduation of my nieces in June, my son’s 16th b day party (most likely will be celebrated on July 4th or so), etc...
Oh, and a August family vacation to Canada - possibly Ottawa. I know there is an Air & Space Museum there and is on my bucket list to finally see a Lancaster bomber on display.

Re: Pacific Coast Models 1/32 Fw 190A-1. Black 13. Belgium,
Thanks so much for checking in and your update, BlackSheep! I remember summer vacations and graduations fondly! At the moment I’m sitting inside my car, waiting for the plumbers to arrive some time between 9 and 11 am. I am not sure what the day will bring or where I’ll be, actually. “Second star on the right and straight on ‘til morning.”

Re: Pacific Coast Models 1/32 Fw 190A-1. Black 13. Belgium,
Bolleken sent me some Fw 190 A-1 images. This one in particular makes me happy because the exhaust blackened half of the fuselage is all from the exhaust. I still am unable to reconcile why there is a hard edge on a portion of Black 13, but on this “13,” it is all from the exhaust. I don’t know why this continues to be an issue for me, but it is nice to see this!

My guess the more I think about it,on yours its a eagle wing or a black wedge shape painted there with the heavy exhaust staining on top of it

Thanks. It’s Taco Tuesday for some. Not for me. I’m definitely waging war on my gut! Thank you so much, Clint. I know what you mean but I don’t know yet if I’m going to add any semblance of an eagle wing.. but that idea of yours makes sense.

Re: Pacific Coast Models 1/32 Fw 190A-1. Black 13. Belgium,
Bolleken provided some very helpful information today! Thank you, bud. Here is a snapshot of the progression of A-1 to A-3 profiles. The black "eagle wing" comes with version A-2. This is not definitive by any means. However, in our line of work we often go by the best available information, so I am going to blacken the sides with exhaust and not paint. I feel better making this decision.

Within the same information here is useful information and very very very useful blueprints with rivet patterns.
