Good looking Dornier, Kari! Would you rate this kit as trouble free?

Thanks Thomas!

First of all, it has very nice details! I like it a lot. The fit so far is pretty good. The nacelles do not sit too good, so some filler is needed.

But what annoys me greatly, so much that I almost stopped building it (this is a pure Out of box build) is the pilots workplace that look more taken from ICM:s 1/72 kit. The seat is simply too small!

Here is a 1/48 pilot figure from one Tamiya kit I had in my spares, in the middle ICMs pilot seat and far right the Do-17 seat from 1/48 from Hobbycraft kit.

Here you see quite clearly how tiny the seat is... looks more as a... toilet seat to be honest.

Of course I measured the seat and if it would be a real seat, the backrest would be 26 cm wide! Which is total nonsense! :pod:

So here something has gone wrong with ICMs measurements, it's a fact,

Luckily I have still one Do-17 in my stash and there I will add some AM's. And my Hobbycraft seat for sure!

Cool topic. I'm down to just 2 - in the process of figuring out what to start next.
This thing could take some time - not a ship builder so slow going. It's the 1/350 Minicraft Titanic w/PE
