Making some progress on this bird. I've pretty much finished the cockpit (just the gun sight to add) and I've painted the interior of the fuselage (and other bits). for the Aluminium I used a Tamiya rattle can, whilst the detail painting was done with Humbrol Enamels.

The cockpit had a all over matt coat followed by gloss on the instrument faces. I'm not overly happy with the decal belts as I think they're too bright - but this was an experiment too see what they looked like and now I know.

I've got to finish the gun bay and paint the nose leg and then I can get the fuselage together.

It’s looking good. Could you dab some wash or something to tone down the belts? They look okay but, as you said, are a bit bright.

That's what I was thinking Lyle. tbh they don't look as bad in the flesh as they do in the photo but they do stand out. It was an interesting exercise though - and they might look ok through the canopy, but I probably will go PE on the next build.

Nice progress on the S-92! There is a very prominent wiring harness in the wheel well. I'm not sure you want to add it or not but here's a good pic...

Thanks for the pic John - That might be worth adding, or at least something to make it look like its there. I'll see what I can come up with.

Well maybe not the best bit of SB in the world - but it does now at least look like there's something there. (it does actually look a lot better in the flesh than in a photo).

We has wings!

The fit of the wings was awesome - they just clicked into place. The fuselage was less so. A bit of fiddling was required to get it all together and there a nasty step on the underside that surprised me a bit...

Lyle, can I borrow Sandy and Phil?

Cheers!

Stuart, Sandy and Phil are drinking with Fermis. But, I'll send them your way.

Looking like something now...

Not s bad fit all told. I had to use a little bit of filler along some of the joins, especially around the nose. Had a bit of a mishap with some some fogging on the windscreen which is bloody annoying - I'll just say it's 1/48 scale condensation
