lol! Now I only need to sort out the bit on the nose where I thought I'd have a go at brush painting silver :headslap:

Repeat after me :quotes: I cannot brush metallic paints :quotes:

I cannot brush metallic paints
I cannot brush metallic paints
I cannot brush metallic paints
I cannot brush metallic paints
I cannot brush metallic paints
I cannot brush metallic paints
I cannot brush metallic paints

Hi Chaps,

I've started to build up the jet assembles for this bird, but I'm wondering about what colour the intake cones should be. None of the views of the silver aircraft I'm building show them, and I only have this B&W image to go on...

Image

The cones do look darker than the rest of the engine pod - so I'm wondering if they might be red. Every other colour photo I've seen of other S-92's have red cones

Image

What do you think?

Have you seen this? Jumo 3 from the same or similar Schwalbe. I think the color is light grey over the metal finish.

:giggles: Yeah it is a bit depressing - I actually started this early in 2018...

I spent a bit of time on it yesterday, I sanded off the filler I put on the engine pods in May and then polished them, and then mounted them onto the wings.

Image

I'm still painting up the intakes and exhausts, so that picture is really useful Bruce thanks

I am beginning to have a change of heart with this build, I think I will paint it up in Luftwaffe markings after all. :hmm:

Cheers!
