I remember reading they made around 40 of these, mostly used in evaluation squadrons. In addition to the prop problems the size of the gun also made them slow and vulnerable.

Not familiar with the P-1 but I built the Dragon G-6. Good kit! Some putty work around the joints, especially the engine nacelles but nothing too bad.

Reminds me stil having two G-6 kits in the stash. Once, I dreamed doing a "Führungsmaschine" or "leading aircraft". I should have the needed conversion plugs from Paragon.

I have a little bit more detail painting to do in the cockpit and the seatbelts then I should have some pics up.

I built the G-6 also. 2 things that helped me. I built the fuselage by mating the nose half to the back then gluing the whole thing together. Also the wingtips I glued the top tip to the wing and same with the bottom then glued the whole wing together

You don’t see those Dragon Ju-88’s build that often. I think they have to reputation that they are fiddly due to the many variations they tried to tool.

I have their C night fighter in my stash. I picked it up on clearance thinking it was a G. When I inventoried my stash recently for Scalemates I realized it was a C. After looking at it recently, I’m thinking about seeing if I can make it the C heavy day fighter version...

Thanks for the tip Johnny! I finally made enough progress to post some pics! You're right Borg, this kit is pretty fiddly, but looks pretty good.
