Hasegawa 1/144 Embraer 170 - US Airways Livery COMPLETE

Post by keavdog »

I got started on this gem of a kit. The fit is really nice - these Hasegawa 1/144 kits are amazing. I'm doing this one wheels up - though I forgot to bore out the hole for the stand... minor issue. The decals are from DRAW which are fantastic but require a bit of finesse and careful trimming as they are continuous film.

I like it. Reakky do enjoy the civilian stuff...dread painting it, but like them a lot.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

I love that black scheme. All the years I’ve done model kits, I’ve never done any civilian aircraft of any kind. Looks like it’s never too late to start add a couple to the stash. I have seen a couple I’d love to do - one being the famous band Led Zepplin, Starship, AC/DC has one and one belonging to Iron Maiden.

I think there was a semi tractor trailer model kit for AC/DC as well. That one is high on my list as well.

I second that and would LOVE to do one of those one day.

The build looks great so far, keavdog!

Nice work! Looking very smooth the fuselage!

Probably the main reason that keeps me out of trying to build a civilian jet.. the fuselage must be smoother than smooth!
