Bruce, Stewart, Mr. Medic Man, and Duke,

Thank you very much for the encouragement, it is much appreciated!

Man, I feel kind of, I don’t know, kind of silly I guess for that little bump in the road. Lack of good raised detail on one part almost killed my mojo for the project. I don’t like that. But at least I’m introspective enough to realize that eventually I’d come to be fond of the aircraft and the kit. To tell you the truth, I’ve kind of been enjoying trying to dream-up easy ways to take this simple cockpit and make it more interesting and fun to look at.

It’s funny actually. I look at other people’s work, the cockpits they do, and I try to emulate the level of detail they’re pulling off, but I have to remember that a lot of those builds are 1:32 and others have resin upgrades. I can’t expect this kit’s components to have the level of detail my 1:32 Zeke does in its office. And just because it lacks some detail doesn’t mean it ain’t worth building. So on we plow!

And this, folks, is the best I could do on the side panels. I feel really good about these.

Taking a break from the cockpit, and working on the engine. Got these two guys off their blocks no problem, and I’ve been carefully sanding down the area where they’ll join. I test for the crank case against the bit at the front of the fuselage where it’ll connect and BOOYAH BUDDY!, she’ll fit great.

I share your good feelings about those side panels, Ken! They are more than worthy—assembled all together the look is spot on.
