Airfix 1/48 Boulton Paul Defiant Mk.I

Post by keavdog »

First Airfix kit in many years and man... they have really come along way. Really nice kit. Well engineered. Made a few mistakes here and there, particularly with the Alclad flat picking up every floating thing in the world and mucking up the paint but overall - she looks like a Defiant. One of those planes that lacks a great military history record but I sure like the lines.

Nice work! I think she looks good?

Nice finish! Are there any pitfalls on this kit to watch out for? Or does it go together with no problems?

Thanks. Stick, it goes together really well. Getting the turret in is a little challenging but even that wasn't too bad. Ill be doing more airfix kits.
The eduard canopy masks Re challenging. I thin the turret require something like 27 masks.
Thanks,
John

Well it's nice to hear the kit has no fit issues. I've often wondered if the turrent was going to be a challenge. Well done! I've got get my hands on one and do mine in Nightfighter version.
