Superb looking build so far Bish - I'm loving the extra detail. It is a nice looking base kit though - even more detail than the DC-3 I'm making.
What did you think of the Phantom?

Cheers guys. I am really enjoying this and very glad Airfix have brought their kits up to date. I used to avoid them, now i look forward to new releases.
Portman, i really liked it, great detail and went together really well. Only down side was the decals, 250+ of them. I already have the FGR.2 and will be getting the next FG.1 with RAF markings.

Great interior detail on this kit! The PE additions are very nice!

Short update on the 111. Most of the construction is done. I did have some issues with the fit of the outer lower wings and the engines. The latter i think caused by the former. I hate it when i have issues with a kit that are not mentioned in reviews as it makes me think i have done something wrong. And is often the case, i can't figure out what. But after some filling and sanding it all in place.

The bomb bay doors are also a bit small, but that deffinetly is not something i have done.

A few bits of PE to add and the canopy to fit and mask and it will be ready for painting.

Looks great Bish. Can't tell that you had a problem at all.

It turned out great! In box reviews praise kits as excellent builds some times but the reviewed does not even build it! Itching to start my 111!
