Understood. The air brush work looks great and I really am debating trying a black primer coat especially after seeing the gear bays...

I like priming gear bays with black. It's an easy way to create shadows and weathering.

Looks impeccable. I was thinking about how the black adds tonality to the top colors. There is so much color variation on a jet aircraft. Who knew? Well you did, but I am only reading the first chapters of the book of knowledge... as an alternative, why not add washes to the cockpit to nudge the color closer to actual?
