Thanks again all!

Painting is finished.
Decals shmeecals!!! (not a fan of Hasegawa decals...or Tamiya and Academy for that matter!)

I used an Olfa circle cutter for the markings. I find it much easier to place the Hino, then place the mask around it, then remove the Hino.

With everything masked, I "primed" with flat white...makes a world of difference for bright colors(red/orange/yellow)

Masked out the white border, then sprayed the blue tail band.

Masked over tail band and sprayed Hino's

Finished off with the yellow tail markings.

Wow...I love it when u can paint the markings on rather than use decals...looks that much more real!!! Nice scheme... :yikes:

Finished up the torpedo...not sure what that black thingy is...but I saw it in some refs and just copied it!

Made wing supports with brass rod...

Tremendous work! Your painting is outstanding! Nice job!

I love the torpedo too. I believe the black thing wrapped around it is the arming cable. Not sure though.
