Thanks Big Duke! Thanks so much! And you know what!? I’d love to have me a real, working Sakae 12, oh man!

Every day you wake up and look in the mirror you are in the presence of greatness.
Thank you, bitbite!!

Okay fellas, the rear of the engine is plumbed (I followed the reference as best I could but had to guess at a lot of stuff), and I went ahead and mounted it! Check it out:

That’ll do it for this week’s work. This is a good stopping point. My wife is having surgery tomorrow and will be recovering over the weekend, so I’ll be looking after her, and the kids, and the dog, flying solo. This will give me time to work out my next move.

First: that's bloody awesome!

Second: Sorry to hear about your wife. I hope it's nothing serious and best wishes to her for a speedy recovery.

Thanks my man! As to Mrs. Kenny X- she has two umbilical hernias which need to be repaired. According to the Doc, it’s an easy fix. So that’s good! She’ll just need to be in bed for a few days after for the sake of recovery. Those abdominal muscles work hard and she needs to let them rest as much as possible for a few days. I’m just gonna keep her in bed and feed her French toast and gumbo and etouffee and beer, try to put a little plush on her during her downtime

Imma take good care of her! And she’s super-tough. She’ll be okay.

Oh and hold the phone, I misspoke. One more one more thing before I take a break- the prop:

Oh! And I’ll deal with the slop in the drop tank’s attachment when I resume.

Thank you very much, my friends. I appreciate the kind words and your thoughts. I never figured myself for a radial engine fancier but I have to say- working on this one sealed it for me. I like those radial engines a lot, and I enjoyed detailing this one. It makes me kind of itch to get my 1:32 Birdcage down and start on it, I want to get my hands on that double wasp, but I’m going to wait LOL, this project still has a long, long way to go.
