1/48 Hobby Boss F-84F Thunderstreak FINISHED-ish - Ya DONE!
Re: 1/48 Hobby Boss F-84F Thunderstreak
Great repair work around the canopy! Like you said, sanding next to clear plastic can be nerve-wracking! What kind of putty did you use? One of the things that I like about Milliput is that in its uncured state, it is water-soluble. You can use a dampened cloth or towel to smooth and shape the puttied areas and reduce/eliminate the need for sanding.

I haven't used milliput in some time. Agree its good stuff. I've been using tamiya white filler. Easy to sand and dried quickly.

Got her all cleaned up - Novus polished, washed cleaned dryed. Shot Tamiya gloss black and seeing some disturbing eyefish/pooling. Perhaps it will level out - we'll see.

BMF next? Looking good.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..
Re: 1/48 Hobby Boss F-84F Thunderstreak
Yes - Alclad comes next Lyle. But first...
The paint turned out fine all except the right wing. Perhaps I didn't get all the soap off. Ah well, I'll sand and respray.
