Yeah, in 72nd scale, the lighter shade will likely look better on it. Scale effect and all that sort of thing.

The Airfix Spitfires are good too - it's one thing they do well!

Thanks Stuart, I was about to buy the Airfix Mk I as well, but I had decided of a very strict budget and while seeing that the hobby shop had the Mr Cement SP Black.. Airfix Mk. Ia was left in the shop.. But next time!

I had the Revell in my hand and the Airfix as well, but must be my ”loyalty” towards Eduard that led to the decision. Eduard has never let me down, so with 13 € for a kit with some PE parts, but especially canopy masks was the winning concept.

But I am intrigued of Airfix Spit as well!

It is a scaledown of their 1:48 .. perhaps easier to shrink everything than start to re-engineer something.. I dunno.. fiddly nevertheless...

They can probably mold in better and more intricate detail when the walls are molded as separate parts.

(by the way, have been using the Black cement, it really shows in a cruel way where all the cement goes/runs... almost like a wash! )
