OBOY YOU PICKED A GOOD ONE! I cannot wait to see this guy with paint on!
Thanks Kenny - I'm hoping it'll look okay. This build is a bit of an experiment to be honest. asides from looking a bit rough (I'll tidy it up some more after Primer) I've got to get my head around painting metallics. I've been doing some trials on my paint hack with brushes with not a huge amount of success, and I do have a new airbrush - but I suspect I'm going to need a lot of practice before I do a decent job.

:hmm: I do have a good rattle can black primer and a few of Tamiya Rattle can metallics. They might be worth a shot.
Duke Maddog wrote:Once again I'm very late to the party. I've never really held much interest in the Albanian Air Force, but I have to commend you on picking this and trying to build one of every aircraft used by them. When it comes to building 'small air forces' I've been doing the same with my Egyptian, Iraqi, Syrian and Israeli air forces myself.

Everything is looking great Stuart. Keep it going man!
Thanks Mark.

I think these small airforces can be quite interesting subjects in their own right. I'd like to do a few more. There are certainly some interesting types used with this one!

(and it's good to be working in 1/72 again)

Thanks Ken, that's very kind of you to say, and there're certainly some interesting types with this project. I'm really looking forward to that IL-28.

I managed to get the last of the filling done today - and LOOK, I'm actually masking a canopy!

To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Nice!

Readily cut masks or "scratch cut" ?

Either way, looks sharp!

Looks ready for its base color coat.

Thanks Gents! Things moved on a bit over the weekend!

Made a bit of a mess with the paint, but it was a good learning curve for the next build.

Cheers!
