1/35th AFV Club Dak Mammoth

Post by Floki »

So this is AFV Clubs 1/35th AEC Armored Command Car, DAK Mammoth also called a Dorchester by British troops after the swanky hotel of the same name in London.
Anyway here she is with only the nameplate left to make and attach.

The camera is really making the faces look washed out, In person I think they turned out better than any I've done so far. Also noticed I forgot the small tarp to go under the one figure on tops arm since it needs to be elevated just a bit.
Thanks for following along!

Clint that is awesome work. The dio really sets it off.

:shoutout: Man I really like how this turned out. The Miniart figure set works perfect with the kit!

Very well done sir!

Thanks Lyle and Carlos! I forgot to mention the figure set, I'm not sure who the original maker of them are but this set was made by Master Box.

I won't try figures. Just can't get them right. These, however are spot on. The poses are perfect and look quite real.

Thank you Lyle. I got a few sets from Master Box they seem like a higher quality than Dragon more on par with resin figures.

Incredible finish! I have not practiced dot filtering as a weathering technique so I downloaded your photos from the work in progress. The exterior came out really well. What I appreciate is you always think through the "final flourish" as my grandfather would say—the project always ends up on a proper base with a proper setting to support the work. It's a great story telling technique and I sincerely appreciate what you have done here. The figures are pretty amazing--and each one has their own personality. Highest praise. Congratulations!
