Thanks, I agree, but ever since I watched The Longest Day as a kid, I've wanted to build one of Priller's aircraft. This seemed like a great version.

Figured it was about time to bring this one to it's current state. After months of losing my mojo, sometime around the end of August, it came back in spades! I've since then completed a 1/48 F-16 for one grandson, a 1/48 P-39 for another, am almost done with the last crewman for my halftrack, just need to wash and weather the Me109, and have started the Trumpeter 1/32 MiG-3 with lots of photo etch, (will start a WIP on that soon). Once I finish the Me109, I'll be starting on my Hs129.

The underside has been painted, the base of RLM02 is on, and the first mottle color applied.

Second color applied. Very subtle difference in shades, but the yellow cowl seems to help define them. The decals really seem to make the colors more distinguishable. Not too bad for my first mottle job.

Here she is with half her markings applied. Since this pic was taken, I've finished marking the aircraft, attached the landing gear and sealed it with dullcoat. Now for the wash, then on to my favorite part; getting it dirty!

I'll be starting a WIP on that MiG soon and the Hs129 as soon as I start on it. Thanks for looking.

Looking Joe very good!

Can really "sense" the size, an 1/32 build has, from the pictures. Very nice!

Thanks. I was a bit worried about whether or not the contrast would be enough on the mottle. It seems to have worked though.

Thanks Kari. The irony of the size, is that the Me109 really isn't very big compared to other fighters. It makes me realize what a beast my B-17G is going to be!

Yumpin' Yimminie' that is gorgeous! Yep, the B-17 should easily surpass this one.
