Lyle! A B-29? Fantastic!!

I will follow this for sure. Have two of those kits in the stash, together with Paragon resin flaps and a B-50 conversion set. On the OD birds: way back Scale-Master did a decal sheet for "Monsoon Goon", the fifth B-29 built at the Boeing plant in Renton.

Looking at your pics it is clear that you need a bigger bench. :hmm:
This one should look great if foiled or airbrushed with Alclad.

I really have my heart set on "Doc". We'll see. Thomas, there are enough parts in this rascal without buying more! Sheesh.

Thanks. Just looking at the cockpit structure this morning. I'm not sure (Now) that painting after assembly will be such a good idea. We'll see.

You're off to a great start Lyle! I do like the OD/NG scheme myself. That is something that you hardly ever see. I do know that a company called Iliad Decals makes a set of decals for this kit of the OD/NG Superforts

Or you may want to look for some Korean War markings of NMF over Black...

This particular boxing includes a Korean War scheme. I can't make myself like that NMF over Black. The OD one is growing on me, sort of like six bean burritos and some beer.

Iliad Design Decal sheet # 48021 - anyone have one? They are sold out. I like the OD, but it sort of, kind of doesn't look right.

Throwed (Southern for "threw") some Mr. Color Aqueous Interior Green at it. H-58 is the color. Silly me thought one bottle would be enough. Hah! Off to ebay. I am also trying to stuff bb shot into the underside of the cockpit.

Just spread a layer of thick CA and dump.....in the tub. Makes a helluva racket if you miss.

This is a lot of weight, Lyle. But it might be needed...
