Nice one. This is a kit a purchased a fiddled a bit with before the Eduard versions came out. It is always a pleasure to see a P-51D build and doubly so when it’s built by you.
Thanks Bruce. I haven’t built a P-51D since I was in High School, so it’s been awhile. Yeah, I’d like to get the Eduard D-5 kit if I can find one at work….

Looks fun Carlos. Those Otaki kits were great fun back in the day. 109G was my fave.
Chris this is a fun kit so far. No fussing with anything crazy…

I have the AMT/Otaki Gustav in my stash and keep putting it aside. Maybe one of these days soon I’ll pull the trigger and go for it.

Great…. Carlos gonna keep us in suspense on marking choice.

Looking forward to more. I have a P-51 Mustang in my stash. I planned on starting it some point this summer as a dual build.
I am still looking for decals belonging to a particular Mustang belonging to one “Punchy” Powell; The West by Gawd Virginia was his stead.
Looked everywhere these past few years and not had any luck finding it in 1/48 scale. I know I posted something a year or so ago looking for that decal set at another sub thread.
Yeah, I’m keeping it a secret until the decals that I ordered arrive.
I have never heard of the P-51 that you’re looking to build. But then again, there were literally hundreds upon hundreds of markings in real life and the decal companies can’t cover them all…
