Thanks for the kind words. Just about cleaned me out on tape, though. Had to resort to 11x17" paper! It is coming along. Now for all the touch up.

Looking good Lyle! That also sounds like my recipe for scratching a tail gun cannon. Nothing like a proven thing eh?

Looking forward to seeing more.

Lyle - I would have just taped the edges and use paper to cover the rest of the aircraft wings, fuselage, tails, etc... It'll save you quite a bit of tape. Now go get more tape... :giggles:

I can imagine that this tape job took lots of time (and nerves..). But it was worth your effort: both sides, lower and upper, look really good with a perfect paint application! :shoutout:

I wonder if those early OD B-29´s had de-icer boots on the leading edges of the wings et all?

Duke, good thing I bought extra fixin's....just broke the cannon. Again. Repeat as before.

BlackSheep - not too bad really. And, no paint pulled off in the process. I was happy at that.

Thomas - if you could only see it up close. Far from perfect, but hey it is a warplane.

Thanks, Carlos. Now to keep adding back all the stuff I'm breaking off. Sigh.

I know how that feels; happens to me constantly. You'll get there Lyle.

Or, you could try something else: leave everything off until you are almost finished, then add it all back at the end. That's what I do now.

That is so frustrating. Hang in there!
