As they would say in Wisconsin...."ya betcha" it is frustrating. Not only did I break the tail skid, I then lost it. Really. It was very easy to do. I've spent a few days messing with building one from scratch. Not very hard to do, but I am letting each little bit dry thoroughly, first. I may get some pictures up later.

All the "bumps & bruises" aside Lyle, I think you're doing a fantastic job with this beast. Not only is the paint scheme unique, but large clumsy birds like this are a challenge for the ham-fisted builder, such as myself!

One of the reasons I keep postponing my 1/32 B-17 build, is lack of space to put it while I work on it. I have a nasty habit of catching pointy parts on things and either dropping and breaking, snagging and breaking, or just plain breaking them.

Joe, I have swept the bench clean a time or two with the wings. knocked over stuff, left and right. It is wearing me out. It is always "here". In the way no matter what. I'll get it, though. Many thanks for the kind words.

Paint job looks really smooth Lyle! Looks like all that masking really paid off!

Believe me, I'm the king of "Just how long is this project gonna take?? " Keep building on brother. It's gonna look great in the end.

I am with you on "cleaning the bench", Lyle. Happened the first time when I did Revell´s 1/48 scale B-1... Too bad when the kit you do is as long or even longer than your bench...

As others have said: you will prevail and do a really different B-29 with the camo you did chose!

Well, it was down to gear doors, bomb bay doors and antennae. After replacing the tail skid, there will be significant repainting. Oh, and the belt that drives the blades on my mower broke (I think). That or a pulley. Second one in 40 hours of use.

40 hours? You still have warranty, I guess. What scale is your mower?

it is less than two years old. Mower is 1/1. A 23 hp, v-twin Kawasaki engine and a 50" cutting deck. I was pulling on the belt last night and it seems to be in one piece...so that leaves pulley troubles. Oh well.

Well.....you knew it would happen. It was inevitable....the planets would align against me. Yup, it stalled and nose dived, inverted to the floor. Nothing horrible, but enough. Seems putting all that weight in the nose gets it there faster.
