The decals arrived the other day. They are in rough shape. Yellowed and some cracking. Perhaps they will be salvageable.

Holy crap! Talk about false advertisement. Yeah get back to them and demand to get a better quality decal sheet.

Lyle, get those cracked decals a brushed-on coat of MicroScale Liquid Decal Film! Don´t worry about a thick coat. I made good experiences with this stuff saving old decals.
Just remember to cut each decal out from the sheet, as MLDF makes a new continous film on the whole sheet.

Wow Lyle. That aint right at all. I've never tried that stuff that Thomas is talking about but it's worth a shot. The only thing I would be worried about after that would be the decals wrinkling on the surface after applying. I had that happen on my '56 Ford F-100 with 30 year old cals. They didn't crack at all and "looked" perfect on the sheet but they did this to me.
They initially went on perfect and it seemed like they would only require a minor touch up:
When they fully dried however, they bubbled terribly. No matter what I did, they wouldn't lay down flat.
I don't know what your budget is or how much you want to use this particular set of markings but there's a guy that did me right on reproducing an old decal sheet for a pretty fair price. Check out Speedway Decals and go to the "More" tab at the top of the screen to contact him. He'll square you away. Here's the website:

That stuff is great, I used it on some particulary fragile decals by Proline.
