Finally, seeing some progress on one of the F-15E's of my double build. Finishing up the fine bits and applying decals. Then some light weathering and I'll get started on the other, have some finish sanding to do and then prime again and paint.

Thanks Fermis! He was a great man and will be greatly missed, he kind of took the place of my father when he passed a few years ago. Now, I will step up and be there for his son who just turned 21.

My condolences on your Uncle.
The Mud Hen is looking great!! What metal paint did you use on the bottom at the engines.

On this one, I used MM gloss enamel as a base, then a coat of Alclad Duraluminum and a light coat of Alclad Pale Burnt Metal followed by some highlights using Alclad Jet Exhaust.
For the other Mudhen, I'm going to be using AK Interactive Xtreme Metal to see how it looks. The main body of the both aircraft are done using Ammo of Mig USAF modern grey jets colors. I took the FS36118 dark gull grey and added a about 5 drops of light compass grey to it, then I went back with some super thinned dark gull grey with a single drop of light grey for the panels. Coated everything with Alclad Klear Kote gloss and started the decals.

Very sorry to hear about your uncle, jelliott
The last time I did the kit that you are doing now also counted to more than a decade ago. I wish I could re build it again... came out to be a really big build. I can't imagine you are building two at the same time! Gloss looks spot on... cant waint to see what's next!
