Double Monogram 1/48 F-15E

Post by jelliott523 »

Well, I finally got a start on the dual F-15E build. These are the 1/48 Monogram kits, I am building mainly OOB with the exception of possibly adding some weapons from the spares box and AM decals on one of the aircraft. They will both be representing the aircraft of Mountain Home AFB, one the the 391st Bold Tigers and the other of the 389th T-Bolts. Enjoy.

Yeah, sorry about the picture quality, I took them using my phone, since that is the only camera I have. I took them at night in my modeling cave (literally) and the lighting in the room is not the greatest. I'll try to re-take them when I have some ambient light coming through the window.

I will most likely end up with one of the kits with all the "goodies" included as well; however, with these two going on simultaneously and several other kits waiting in the wings (pun totatlly intended), it will be awhile. I'm having fun with this and going to try some things I've never done before, such as post shading and using pastels. Just ordered a new airbrush, hopefully I will be happy with it. I ordered the Paasche Talon, I've been using the cheap Master from China. I've seen mixed reviews of the Talon, but it is definitely a step-up from the Master.

Sorry the pics aren't the greatest, got the main fuselage and wings together, working on seams and wing joints.
