Temped in the first fuel pod support.
Personally, I find white glue to be brilliant for temping in parts and brilliant for finalizing PE parts in non load-bearing situations.
I know the fit is atrocious on the center line.
It looks worse than it is and I have a secret weapon.
Mr Just High Strength Adhesive.

To give some added strength and resistance to shear problems, drill some holes into the pylons and appropriate matching spots in the wing mating surface, and use small bits of brass wire. This greatly improves the attachment point strength compared to a butt join.

Cool ideas. Trumpeter split the platform support in halves that do not fit very well. Perhaps too thin. The edges are almost curved out instead of inward. I used CA and Milliput to hold that together. So I could drill a post hole... and maybe things will hold together. I have the support temporarily in place with white glue—the Pacer Canopy formula which is amazing. I used this glue all the time for PE parts. This is my slow curing, non load bearing favorite adhesive. I look forward to trying this on the ship build.

Testors Gloss Orange on the right. Does that look orange... or not? On the Testors enamel chart, Tangerine looks more like the flight suit color.

Go with Tangerine. Remember the real suits were not pristine, but well used, and laundered. Not to mention the dreadful “scale effect”... full size colors look lighter at distance due to atmospheric conditions. Remember, it does not have to be a perfect match.
