Please show us. Mine built in the 80s is lost.

To change those contours and placements to match the line drawings looks like it would take some major surgery- adding surface area to the cowling, repositioning the cockpit, and probably more I imagine.

It is easier to make a series of action sketches at this stage to work out without touching plastic what approach to take. On paper it is much easier to ask questions, and figure out if this will be a workable method, then by simply leaping in and cutting. Working each half flat, adding enough Milliput to fill each upper area, will make a more realistic cowling shape, one whose contours would be difficult to construct using hard plastic. These soft contours will be easier to generate with a putty which is then sanded smooth. I know from experience that a CA join with Milliput will create an invisible seam, so I will be able address the disappearing act once the cockpit is done.

We now have a scale-drawing to compare the pieces. And I started to note good and bad things.

Also the cowler on the underside in center wing position needs to be reworked or better created new. It is fülle wrong in design. Both sides need to be open.

I want to replace the exhausts as they look currently very toy-like but I don't wanna spend 5€ or so. So I designed new ones in scale. If the print-out works I will send some to Bruce.

Bruce and I, we are both building a He 100. Bruce an original from Lindberg and I am doing the Revell reboxing.

Ahhh ok. That makes more sense. I know I'm losing my mind......or is it lost?

Well, I only have the one pic. It is a very basic model since I built it when I was nine years old. I didn't even paint it; I just applied the decals directly on the bare plastic. I didn't even paint the canopy frames. LOL! Maybe someday I'll bring it down and re-paint and refurbish it.
