but on my last build, the F-100C, it was a nightmare. The kit cockpit parts had small tabs to locate the pit relative to the intake trunk, and the wheel well top. Why couldn't Aires do the same?? I know they have kits in their possession to study before making their molds, but you wouldn't think it!!?? There is also parts they leave out; for example with the F-100 Aires gives you a rear cockpit decking(supposedly a correct replacement for the Trumpy part), but didn't give you the lower canopy decking to go with it? That part I had to scratch.
That's interesting.
I would have expected a similar good fit as with its 32nd scale cousin. There, the Aires office snugged in quite neatly, fitting like a glove.

It seems as though Aires puts more thought and effort into the 1/32 scale sets...

Very nice! Can't wait to see more!
I have the Academy F-4J in the stash that's waiting for more decal options.

Thanks Medic. There's gotta be gobs of F-4J decals old and new out there? If not I got a cool scheme from a nice Furball sheet I'll never use?

They do but last time I looked they were outta stock. I'm waiting for the model show to get some decals for a bunch of my kits.
