Wonder what your experiences with those new Ammo of Mig paints are? My first tries haven´t been too encouraging...
Did you thin them for spraying? What thinner? Also, what airbrush and what pressure?

I havent tried them yet. I've had a lot going on at work and dont get home until late. As soon as I get a chance to try them out I'll add to this post about them.

Well, I've finally got some updated photos of this build. I used Ammo of Mig USAF colors for the main body, Tamiya NATO and semi-gloss black for the office, and the metallic colors are both different. On the 389th T-Bolts aircraft I used Alclad paints and they turned out pretty well IMO. The 391st Bold Tigers aircraft, I used AK Interactive Xtreme Metal paints. They are nice to work with in that they dont show every minute flaw in the surface prep. They sprayed very nicely at around 10 psi and I did not thin them at all.
As for my thoughts on Ammo products, I believe that they will be my Go-To paint for base colors. I like the way they go down and clean up is a snap. If I end up thinning them I use either the Ammo Thinner or UMP Thinner.
In the first pic, the aircraft on the left with the "golden" color to the metallic area is the plane painted with Alclad, the other is the AK paints.
For the decals, I used the box decals for the Bold Tigers and ordered a Two Bobs set for the T-Bolts.

Those colours give a nice sheen! Maybe I got a bad AMMO paint, who knows.

That sheen is from the gloss clear I applied prior to adding the decals. The paints that I am using go on with a matte finish. The clear that I have been using is mostly Alclad Aqua Gloss or MM acryl gloss or matte finish.
I've found that Ammo paints apply the best in very light coats letting them dry for a few seconds in between coats. If you try to lay on the paint to a wet consistency you will get "fish-eye", no matter how clean the base is. I typically spray mine between 10 and 12 psi, sometimes even as low as 8 psi depending how much I thin the paint.
