Thanks, everyone, this was a fun build and I tried a few new things with no outright disasters!

Yes, John. I used 3 shades of OD to get the kind of variation I wanted simulating uneven fading and wear. The swirls are a little less random than I wanted and next time I will work to avoid them, but still I like the effect. I am not as patient as you at going back and reworking things.

Ah, understood! Good effort on the tonal variation, John! Typically, even random wear falls along some sort of physical parameter, whether it is external features of the aircraft or airflow or combination. It might be helpful to consider those things when placing "random" wear on models.
