Thanks, I hope to do justice. Some of the ever present alignment/fit finally popped up adding the accessories. We shall see. For the most part nothing major.

Engine thingy is done. Not sure whether to paint it now or not.



All of a sudden, they decided to make a number of sub-assemblies.

Fuel tanks:



Air Filters, battery boxes, radiator and a couple of other tanks....::



And, from the "What could possibly go wrong Department", Lets nest not 1, not 2, but THREE telescoping tubes that have to be glued together....Sheesh.

Spenting quality time on getting the lift tubes/shafts that are nested 3 deep, smoothed out enough to spray with chrome. Nothing to show yet.



But, this little bit of advice is all over the instructions....And, it should be heeded, re-heeded and heeded again. I looked at a build video from HPI Guys on this kit and he was raving about the fit, locating tabs, pins and how clear the instructions are. I need some of his meds. Flash isn't terrible, but it is there. Seam line are aplenty, and even when you (or I) place parts as indicated and using the helpful locator pins/depressions, etc, some things just do not line up as well as they should a few steps down the road. But, not terrible all in all.



Spent a few days, fussing, yelling and pleading with the chassis assembly and proudly have it about 2/3 done. More than I care to admit, pieces were added in the wrong orientation. Purely my fault, but, in my defense, they keep changing the orientation of the drawings....anyway, that has been corrected as needed.

Great progress Lyle. This is one of those kits I've always kinda thought about. Looking forward to your finished product!

I watched some of an another video the other day. Unlike HPI dude, this feller was actually assembling parts of the chassis. Some of the same issues I’m having. The tranny, kept falling off the frame on him, too.
