Here is a picture of decals.
That's a sweet decals sheet. I bought that kit off ebay 10 years ago or so and it had inside the box like 5 of those decal sheets! Now I don't know what happened to it... Probably sold it and forgot I sold it...
Thanks, Chris. I hope the. Sheet is still usable. It looks good.

Yep - although not the Monogram kit...

Happy camper at this point. Paint is down, decals are in great shape and cooperating!

And, does anyone know why the "ears" on the glazing? No purpose I can see.

Coming along nicely Lyle! :shoutout: I think that the cut out glazings were there to provide a bit of over the shoulder rear view on each side. As opposed to the full width of the fuselage contour at the pilots shoulder level.

That's looking superb Lyle! You're way ahead of me! Loving the choice of markings!

I think Stik is right about the windows.

Certainly a plausible reason. . . and I finally "googled" it. That is what the results are saying. Good insight. Thanks for the kind words on progress.

Thanks, Stuart. Yeah, Carlos doesn't usually provide incorrect info. I guess from looking at it from a 1/48 scale perspective, it does seem useless. The progress is slowing on the decaling. Turns out that the decals are not as solid as I first thought. Handle with care or they come apart.

Ah that's often the way with decals - a nice bit of painting though Lyle!

I'm currently sanding off the filler on mine - not too much was needed, just around the poor fitting nose parts!

I did check this out but I don’t have a kit to contribute to this. My P-40s are all stored in Utah—prepping for the zombie apocalypse a little early.

No worries Bruce - glad to have you following along.

I'm trying to figure out what aspect of surviving a Zombie Apocalypse might require a model of a P-40 but I'm not there yet. :hmm:
