Scale awesomeness
Some of the best work in 1/72nd scale I've seen...Fermis wrote:Decals....
The decal sheet provided three right side checkerboards and one left side...had to cut a right side up for the left...
A little touch up paint needed at the bottom, decals didn't quite fit.

Gettin damn close now. Still have a couple few details to add, then weathering.
Some last detail shots...
Engine wired up...
Pins for torp (nothing is provided for mounting this thing...not even mentioned in the inst)
Had to scratch the "box" around the fins...
AAARRRRGGGHH!!!
Scratched canopies all in place...gun stowed..
51's are sooo close...just need some weathering...

I have to agree on the TBD canopy...the "stacking" of the open pieces is so clean and square you'd think this is at least quarter scale...I'm guessing some of those are smash-moulded...very impressive...JimD wrote:Nice. Very Nice. The Devastator canopy looks amazing.
Passion Wagon is bringing back some repressed memories....The NMF version is the one I did my 1/32 P-51 in...cool to see both versions at once!
