And so it begins.....closing the fuselage. Can't wait to add the wings. Even without them, this is like wrestling a python and an umbrella in a phone booth. Sheesh. Good thing lids are closed.

Fuselage seam is pretty flat - that is, no big gaps. There are however horrendously large sprue attachment points to be sanded and filled, and an annoying ridge along the length of the port half edge.

Now that´s a fast progress, Lyle! I like your analogy of wrestling with a python!
Take care of large sprue attachments by using a photo etch saw, should save you from damaging the parts!

The "damage" has already been done. I used my Tamiya clippers. A better analogy is a telephone pole in a phone booth. Pythons will bend. . . . sort of.

OH, and I left out the crew quarters and waist gun positions. Saved about 1/2 ounce of tail weight. Besides, can't see it. painted the interior of that space flat black.

Wow, I feel you man. I have the same issue when I'm working on my C-118 and B-377. What a monster! Looking forward to seeing more.

Well, closed up the fuselage. Mostly filled and sanded. I hit it with some prime to highlight areas that need more attention. All in all, not a bad fit. Bottom of the tail area needed no filler at all. Had storms last night, restless. Now a gloomy day with storms likely. MOJO is waning.

Really not bad. Looks as one of the better fitting kits around.

One of the best so far for me....even with all the junk in the nose.

Yes, you need to get your self busy at the bench.

Wings are together. They fit very nicely. Amazed watching the seams come together when applying the Tenax. Dare I say, almost magical? Naw. But it did look like they were closing on their own. (Queue mysterious sounds)
