Wow that's a lot of parts for just the chassis. I have an M-ATV MRAP that is just as bad.
I guess that is a thing. Most of this will not be readily or easily visible. Oh well.

Great progress Lyle. Man that's a lot of detail
Thanks. See above…

in an earlier post I mentioned that there are slight errors that will multiply. That is / has starting. I just give it a hearty, “Hi ho, Silver!” And start making stuff fit. Nothing too drastic but…

Wow! Looking good! You could keep the yellow as a base and tone it down with weathering effects if you aren’t planning to paint everything. What’s your plan here?

Looks good Lyle!
I really think of LEGO, watching your build, a lot of pieces and bright yellow. Really really cool !

The yellow plastic is really starting to wear on me. I think I’ll spray everything black or dark gray, then go back with a school bus yellow I have. Weathering is a must. I’m thinking the bed of the dump box will be a surface rusty, scraped steel sort of look, and a bit of left over dirt. Pictures I’ve seen show dirt and some wear, but not excessive.

I think almost half or more of the parts count is in the chassis. But, built the basic dump box this morning. Around 30+ in that. Then I turned the page to see what was to be added to the underside.

You got this, buddy. I know you like to glue parts together. I have seen at least one example of this type of truck that was painted baby blue with off-white trim.

It is way too many for what is seen, I think. Chopped the fan belt/pulley assy and just glued the fan to the front of the engine. Otherwise, the radiator would not been right. Oddly, the engine is in uts “spots”.

the tranny, kept falling off the frame on him, too.
Well what was he doing on the frame anyway?
Besides, you're not allowed to say 'Tranny' anymore Lyle, it's 'Men with alternative dress sense'.
