Thanks portman! I've learned a tremendous amount since I've dove off in to the automotive world of building. I've got a 109 build coming up after this one but I've "punched through" some of my insecurities regarding gloss finishes and my skills detail wise and weathering wise have gotten to where I feel a lot more comfortable doing stuff with cars. I've got another one lined up after this one as well so it will definitely not be the end of automotive builds from me that's for sure!

Well I think the build looks great, obviously you're putting these new skills to good use! I really must pull my finger out and build some non-aircraft releated kits - it'd be nice to do something a bit different.

Thanks buddy! I've already got two sets of resin Weld Draglite wheels from Competition Resins one set of which will go on the 56 Ford(and the other just have a spare set on hand) and a set of aluminum Draglites being custom built for me as we speak for a Mustang LX build coming up. I will be tucking those fat rear tires under the fenders instead of all that junk hanging out of the fender like that though.

The wheels for the 56 Ford F-100 and I'll order some alclad to paint these with:



And the wheels for the Mustang. These are for a dragster so I'm having this guy build me a set of 15x8 wheels and a set of 15x3 front runner wheels.

Cool - that Mustang will be another one to watch.

That F-100 is going to look great!

So, is that picture a Mustang? Wow....You are knocking this out ot the park. The engine looks like it could easily be started. Wheels, dash - all done to perfection.

Ok here's where I started the interior clean up.

I started with the original door panels here:



I re-picked out the details, painted over the "tri-colored" Dodge logo in the wood grain with the correct "chrome" and shot a uniform coat of clear flat over the door panel to make them look a bit more "prettied up".



For the seats.............I just took them apart and started over with the original parts. I cleaned 'em up, re-glued the backs onto the seats and filled and sanded away until I got a seat that looked more like a real seat than a hacked up model part/ parts.



Here's everything together after I was finished with the seating.





I left the interior in as-is state as far as the addition of PE and all that's concerned as I wanted some of this build to be reflective of yesteryear.
