for the recent overall painting sessions on gigant i used a maximum of 10 size brush

Working on wheels today. Got a "trick" off the internet, one of the model sites. Seems to work pretty good. Thin some tire black, and let the capillary action make it go around the hubs. I hit the hubs with flat aluminum and then the thinned tire color.





...and some observations regarding Liquid Gravity.

1) although about the size of poppy seeds, they are not interchangeable! Too crunchy. Don't taste very good, either.
2) be careful adding to wheel halves - nose wheel halves on a B-29 to be specific, as it may be too full. Once set with CA, it is like concrete. Spent some quality time picking out bit of this so the wheel would close.
3) don't spill them.
and
4) they ain't liquid.

Lesson learned: never fill a wheel half over the edge...

Well. Setting up to be a rainy, dreary day. Gorgeous yesterday, though. Bleah.

Reached the point that I needed to attach the wings. . . all 1 metre of them. Thank you Monogram! There are no "helps" to hold them in position. You simply stuff the spars in the wing and that is it. At the root, nothing to hold it. It shows.....





Probably looks worse than it is. just so frustrating that they make this thing so nice in some areas and so crappy in others.

Might be why mine is still in the box unstarted

Good work overall though...looks like I'll need to clear the whole bench off when I get to this one
