Thank you so much, Carlos! I truly appreciate your support. Truly. I think this is close. Here is a decent enough (I know it’s in motion but it’s quite crisp) side view:
Here is my overlay:
I think this has just enough of the curvature to match the original form. The MPM kit does not do this shape well either so it would be necessary in either case to build the cowling up correctly. I did sculpting, very gently, because once the Milliput is gone I would have to add more. So I am good. I am also quite close to the original intention of how to do these fuselage changes:

The next steps will be to remove the area at the back of the cockpit, in order to fabricate a new clear part, then prepare the fuselage halves for scribing, and selective rivet work. The engine and wing mounts feature “Butter” (going off memory here so correct me if I am wrong) explosive rivets. Those do show up at a distance. Note to fabricate a coving cover for the gunsight, which I bet was designed to absorb light and make targeting easier, and a gunsight.
I am also going to try the Aqueous primer and colors to see what mischief and merriment is possible. Here’s a video of a comparison. Remember there is no spoon.
