I'm a huge Maiden fan and always have been. I had that poster when I was a teenager and lost it during various moves. It took forever but I finally tracked one down on Ebay. Don't ask what I paid for it...

Got mine for $3.50!!!

Glad to see I'm not the only Maiden fan! Fell in love with them after I picked up Killers on LP, (boy does that date me), was fond of Number Of The Beast, but my favorite album is still Powerslave! That's my favorite transformation of Eddie. Saw them in concert during the World Slavery Tour in 84/85.

Now my 21 year old son has a bad habit of snatching my Maiden, Sabbath or Priest CDs from my work bench, causing me to threaten him with mortal harm!

There are NO threats in my house...I take immediate action!!!
Still have all my vinyl...1st album through Seventh Son, plus a couple imports.Sadly, I have no record player....I miss the hiss and popping!!!

Well, you are certainly on your way to "old" my friend. Amhik. (nearly 62 years will do that for ya )

These days, I maybe more grumpy than usual because my stereo receiver has turned tits-up. I can't complain, it's been a faithful servant for nearly 24 years. I have about 1000 vinyl LPs and maybe 500 CDs and it "pains" me that I can't hear any of them here. (well, I do have a CD-playing "jambox" but that's not the same is it?

Any equipment suggestions to replace the ol' Kenwood? Something in the 80-100 watt range?

Only listen to my CD's in the truck....at the bench, I have Pandora Radio on the PC. When I REALLY want to FEEL it, I run the speaker jack out to my 1000watt P.A....four 15" speakers + two 12" horns.....ROCKS the house....and the neighbors house, and their neighbors house, and.......

Anyways...to get back on topic here, I don't think I've shown off the "war room" here!


The basement was just block walls, concrete floor and open ceiling. I finished it off (minus the flooring), the first winter we were here(03). However, my wife had some serious separation anxiety back then...and I didn't build a lot, took a couple years off too. Didn't start using my bench till 09.
Anyway...
