I will be building this one as the plane on the boxart....with a little help from Eduard!
Starting with the pit...

Overall construction is pretty simple...it is a 1/72 190! Only real problem is the nose/engine face overlaps the fuselage and needs to be sanded down. Wing/fuse join just aft of the wing root needs some filler and sanding as well.
I got ahead of myself and glued the wings up, making it impossible to use the PE flaps. Ordered another kit to swap out parts. While waiting on the new kit, I reworked the main gears(too long as provided)....however, this was less than good, so I broke out some aluminum and brass tubing, Tamiya tape and some CA and scratched a new pair. (Bottom one is unmodified kit piece, next up is modified, and the others are mine)

New kit arrived yesterday, so I got the wings done. Had to remove a LOT more plastic than the instructions indicated to get the flap parts to fit. Also drilled out some brass rod to replace the gun barrels and made a new pitot tube from brass rod.

The right tools make things easy...and in the long run, probably cheaper than buying a/m pitot tubes!
