Crashed Bf109F, Eastern Front 1941

Post by 109 »

Hi,

started this study a few months ago. Kit used is the Hasegawa Bf109F in 1/32nd scale. Their best 109 kit in my opinion. Wish ZM would do a 109 one day ... :that:

RLM colors are mixed using Mr. Kirof´s color chart. First I thought they will look too dark but in 1/32nd scale they look great and realistic.

Color scheme is the standard 74/75/76:

Image

Weathering started by airbrushing thin layers of dirt colors, all Tamiya matt acrylics (grey, brown, black)

I used decals but in future I will do more masking and painting of markings...

Engine exhausts were also done with matt Tamiya acylics (brown + black). I allied a first layer, partially removed it and then re-applied a second layer. Oil stains are done with gloss lacquer tinted with brown and black.

Bye for now!

Amazing paint and weathering work Bernd!

Now I understand fully your nickname "109" here! :-)

You like 'em crashed, right? Your paint work looks so versatile and complex, the eye can't rest on one point.

Very well done!
