CA all the way???

Post by Manny1943 »

So for several years now the trend seems to be for many modelers to use CA glue exclusively (for the most part) in their builds. Back in the day CA was reserved for resin, PE, metal, etc., primarily for detail work...

How many of you MOFOs have switched from liquid glue to CA glue for the majority of your builds???

Sound off MOJOs!!! :DI:

I don't use CA for any big joints (fuse, wings, etc)...mainly just the fiddlies.

I can't imagine a more awful thing to do to oneself. Why on earth would anyone do that? Nothing is better for styrene than a good liquid cement.

I'll use it for hard fiddly parts and PE. The rest I use liquid glue or tube glue.

Not I... I pretty much use CA for joining dissimilar materials to styrene. And for gap filling where putty is likely to crack or flake due to handling.

I get enough CA on me just using it for the small stuff and the things I break....

I only use ca for dissimilar materials like PE and resin. And for rigging. But I am not a fan, ca gives you very little time to fiddle parts to be "just right".
