Fermy's Adversaries (finished)

Post by Fermis »

Going with Blue 13...but a bit different than this plate shows. Found a cool ref pic showing non-slip gelb chin...I like that better!

To be the adversary...

Going with the boxart on this one...having done over 30 P-51's, all of which have been U.S.

Anyway...this Eduard 190 is pretty sweet. Only issues so far, have been with getting the pit parts with the PE to fit. I had to cut the side console pieces a bit short to make room for the IP and its PE...otherwise...this kit kicks ass!

Going with a closed canopy on the 51...cuz all the others are open. So, I just did the basic colors on the pit and crude tape belts.

Both are in the same stage now.

They make a lovely pair. Like your scheme choices, too!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Sweet pair indeed! Reminds me of the old Revell "dogfight doubles" kits from my boyhood. The detail on the 190 kit in credible. Hard to believe that is 72nd scale!

Round one: FIGHT!

Nice comparison between those two big fighters. The issue in the CP is a heritage from uncle quarterscale.

These are fantastic Fermis! Way to go! I love seeing this "dogfight double" taking shape.

Thanks all!

You would think, that since they include parts specifically for the PE, that things would fit right. I've had the same issue with every one of their kits that I've done. Oh well...just a touch of extra work, not a huge deal.

Painting has begun! :ggun:

How are those 72nd scale 190's to put together? They don't look anything like the 48th scale layout that's for sure. Looks good so far BTW.
