I had a bit of folling and sanding to do on the wingroot areas...no fault of the kit. I had just squeezed to tightly when gluing the fuselage halves together and ended up with two little gaps. DO'H! :headslap:

but other than that, fit was beautiful and I was able to move right along...Airfix has graciously included the option to install the turret at the later point of the build, so I left if off for now to avoid breaking the little guns.

na-na-na-na-na-na BLACK PLANE! :giggles:

heck yeah im doing the sharkmouth option
:Shark:

Not the day fighter? Well it sure makes the painting easier... :hmm:

I kinda do like the night fighter version myself. :lashed:

I tell ya, mandatory overtime really cuts into bench time!

I did get some building fine in the wee hours between every thing though. Here are the three that I painted and decaled over the past two weeks and yeah, that's a little biplane I scooped up to help with my recent WW1 addiction!)

There was only a few hours here and there I could work on these, so I decided to hand brush, rather than setting up the air compressor. I didn't use straight black, but varying shades of really dark grey. I'm pleased with how it turned out.

The Airfix decals snuggled down nicely and caused no issue

Now to work on canopy making and painting the Diddley bits

Owl, those three WIPs look great... I know the feeling about mandatory overtime. Had plenty of that last year. Keep the updates coming when you can...
