1:48 Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress

This is my B-17F from Monogram, build as a Assembly Ship of the 8th Airforce, this is one of I think 24 aircrafts marked very colorful to orgonace the bombers over england to fly in real big formations to germany.

The Revell/Monogram B-17 in 1:48 is very old, not so good detailed,and not made for this use.. have removed all weapons, colsed the turrent on top and bottom. All decals are from spearbox..

What a lovely two tone colour scheme. It reminds me of the cars of that period.

Did you backdate the Monogram G to an F, or is that the Revell F kit? The B-17 has some very sleek lines when all the armament turrets and bulges are removed. In either case, nice work.

And thanks for posting the link to the article. I loved those photos of the real aircraft.

thanks. I used a F from Revell, but have to rework it on severalpoints
