Kampfpanzer Leopard 1A4 Tamiya 1/35

Post by Stikpusher »

As I said when I finished this build back in October, I was holding off on photos until I had a TC figure for this painted up. Well, I had to sideline that portion due to the AMPS 1/72 GB, and then a last minute decision to do the 12 Days of Christmas Challenge build over on FSM. So in the meantime, I selected and primed up a Peddinghaus figure and last week on my days off I painted him up. Today after work I took some photos of the completed Leo on its base. It was a rainy day out, so the lighting is natural thru two windows. I may do some more in a few days when the weather clears up and the sun comes back out...

Great job Stick really like how you made the base and how it all ties in together and nothing looks out of place.

Very good, like the "weathering" on the figures clothes, makes it very very realistic!

Well done, Stik. This build screamed for better pics. You've done it justice now.

A few days ago the Tank Museum of Bovington released a video about our sweet little cat. Compact and informative, I think.

That was my intent- I’m happy that it looks that way to way to your eye.

Oils. I mixed up some blends to wash over the acrylic uniform base colors, then once they had dried, used a thinner moistened brush to remove most. The skin areas were treated similarly with Burnt Umber and Burnt Sienna oils, then some dry brushed highlights with acrylic flesh tones.
