Post by BsYamato »

This one on the table from few days :) really like helos and russian subjects
A good kit, well detailed but some imperfection in the inner parts..
Box'n'sprues

decals for CCCP and Cina army

Some detail of pieces, under square moulds..

Image

Image

Image

some fast assembly .. bad idea as i see after consulting references

Image

Image

the fit is about perfect

Image

Image

Image

Image

then starting to move correcting modify for the inner, at least what i can do :(

first move the bulkhead under the cockpit, is in wrong place and incorrect lateral shape. Glued the floor and added under reinforcement, also removed and filled original pins and holes

Image

Image

Cut the bulkhead and correct the shape, some reinforcing here too

Image

almost done

Image

between the cargo section and pilots office theres a passage behind the second pilot seat , i drilled the passage and filled with plastic sheet the unwished holes

Image

Image

almost done

Image

Image

a test fitting with the bulkhead at correct position, the floor need an extrude :geek:

Image

another error of the kit, the ceiling is too low, i draw the correct shape in the picture, unfortunately i glued too quickly these pieces

Image

that's all for now , at the next :)

Very cool BsYamato! I don't think I've ever seen you build a helicopter before.

Mighty interesting work on this. . . considering it is, what? 5 cm long? :D

Great to follow this build as having a similar Mi-4 in my stash waiting for a rainy day!
Not sure if I need to build my anymore watching this! :-)

But I am just wondering... how many minutes is it between the first and last picture ? Seems to go so quickly (read smoothly) the build.... :)

Looking good BSYamato! The hobby boss kit looks like a good starting point for a nice model.
