One Gun Done by the Duke in April

Post by Duke Maddog »

Hey all, as mentioned in my Maddog Manufacturing thread my Russian Army took deliver of this Self Propelled Artillery piece:

Here is the 2S35 "Koalitziya". It is the 1/72 scale Zvezda kit:

Look how high this puppy elevates!

This is one of six models I finished today. The other five can be seen in the Aircraft and Ships Forums

Thanks all for looking in, comments are welcome.

:shoutout: Oh very nice! No Z, O, or V markings on this gun?

Mark, that looks great! Quite the gun on that one.....

Thank you John! I agree, that is probably the longest barrel on a model self propelled gun I've ever built. :hmm:

Thank you Carlos! No, I'm not interested in adding anything like those markings in use by the Russians in this war. I can't say why, but it just doesn't feel right for me. As it is; one of the other Model Forums I frequent has put a moratorium on showing any Russian vehicles or planes in use by Russia in the Ukraine war, regardless of whether they sport those letters or not. None of those guys know about this unless they also visit any of the other four Forums that I post in. :bag: :whiteflag:

Thank you Clint! I agree, what a trajectory that is indeed!

Thank you Lyle! I guess the Russians never stopped building them big.... :giggles:

Thank you Gary! Great vid! It does sure fit this model! 8-)

Mark, I hear ya. I personally equate the current Russian actions with those of WWII Nazi Germany, or Imperial Japan. If I can build Third Reich and IJA/IJN wartime subjects, I can build Russian Federation subjects.
