Airfix Fw-190, 1/72

Post by CallSignOWL »

grabbed this kit to work on during my clubs' monthly museum workshop. Second Saturday of the month, my IPMS club visits the Strategic Air and Space Museum, and sets up tables to work on. We set up near the "aircraft of the month"--which has a special display at this time, and we build and talk to visitors who come by. There is also a table set up for kids to do a make-and-take, which is always very popular!

here I am with a couple of other members...our side ended up being a 1/72 scale zone :P

The featured aircraft was the A-26 Invader

there was a -2800 engine displayed next to it, lovingly restored by the museum crew

the cockpit was also amazingly restored, it looked brand new!

New release, recessed panel lines...I got so caught up talking and building I forgot to take progress pics! whoopsies. But here it was, at the end of the afternoon

nothing too fancy about the cockpit, just OOB with some tape belts added.

Coming along nicely!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..
